On 29th May, Ms. To, our Principal, was invited to present the prizes to outstanding classes. 2025-05-23In-School-Oratory Leadership CampOn 23-24 May, 20 students and teachers participated in the "In-School-Oratory Leadership Camp" at the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Jockey Club Sai Kung Outdoor Training Camp. 2025-05-22The Feast of Mary Help of ChristiansOn 22nd May, our school celebrated the Feast of Mary Help of Christians at St. Jude's Church, with the mass presided over by Father Martin Yip, the former Director of Religious Education. 2025-05-19Students' Union Hand Brewing WorkshopTo explore students' interests and promote mental well-being, the Student Union collaborated with Vivere. Unlimited to organize a coffee appreciation workshop. Students learned about coffee bean fundamentals and basic hand-drip coffee brewing techniques. 2025-05-14Salesian Youth Sodality Closing CeremonyOn 14th May, members of the Salesian Youth Sodality gathered for the end-of-year event. Apart from looking back on the various activities held throughout the year, awards were also presented for the Sodality Cup Basketball Tournament. 2025-05-10Our Lady's EveningOn May 11th, over 60 students and teachers from the Salesian Youth Sodality participated in the annual Our Lady's Evening. After some free activities in the afternoon, the participants joined the prayer gathering, wrote letters to Our Lady, and received a "response" from her. 2025-05-07Condolence Prayer Meeting for Pope FrancisPope Francis rested in peace on 21 April of this year. To express our mourning and respect, members and teachers of the Salesian Youth Sodality participated in the condolence prayer meeting held in the school hall during the Sodality meeting on 7 May. 2025-05-04A flag-raising ceremony of the May 4 MovementThis year marks the 106th anniversary of the May 4 Movement and the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. A flag-raising ceremony was held in the morning at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai. 2025-05-032025 Salesian Vocation DayOn the afternoon of 3 May, four students from our school participated in the "Salesian Vocation Day". Coinciding with the Church's Jubilee Year celebrations, the event centered on the theme of becoming true disciples and followers of Jesus. Participants were invited to experience the challenges of faith through a small pilgrimage, learning to persevere in carrying their own crosses and responding to God's call. 2025-05-01Rosary Gathering at Lunch in MayMay is the month of Our Lady of the Rosary. Members and teachers of the Salesian Youth Sodality and Oratory take turns participating in the Rosary gathering held in the chapel on the third floor during lunch time, praying together for various intentions. 2025-04-26Salesian Youth Day 2025On the afternoon of 26 April, over thirty teachers and students went to Tang King Po School to participate in the annual Salesian Youth Day. This year's theme was "Caring for God's creation with hope and Action". 2025-04-19Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2025Our school recently participated in the "Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2025", co-organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Education Bureau, and the Hong Kong Science Museum. 2025-04-17Easter activities and Oratori ServiceSalesian Youth Altar Boys Sodality, the oratory group and the Catechumens participated in the Sacred Triduum in celebrating the Paschal Feast, the passion of Christ and Resurrection from the death. From 17 to 19 April, the Salesian Youth Altar boy committees served in the three-day Easter celebration. 2025-04-16The Way of the CrossThe Way of the Cross was held on 16 April 2025. The liturgy was conducted in the Outdoor Playground by Fr. Antonio Leung. 2025-04-14"Caring Campus Leadership Training Program" Proposal CompetitionThe "Caring Campus Leadership Training Program - Proposal" Design Competition, organized by the Wan Chai Police District, aims to allow secondary school students in Hong Kong Island to showcase their talents and provide suggestions on students' holistic development and mental health issues, promoting healthy growth among students. 2025-04-12National Security Education Day activitiesHong Kong Parent Teacher Federation Association has been committed to promoting national security education. On 13 April, they joined forces with various educational stakeholders to organize the "National Security Education Day Family Carnival" for the Hong Kong Island education sector. This event aimed to enhance the awareness of parents and children in safeguarding national security and understanding the importance of maintaining it. 2025-04-11Talent ShowSpiritual, Moral & Civic Education Team organised the Talent Show for S1, S2 & S4 students to provide them the platform to challenge and understand themselves, as well as demonstrate their talent gifted by God. 2025-04-11"I Can Do It" SchemeSpiritual, Moral and Civic Education Team organized the "I Can Do It" Scheme for S1 and S2 students to encourage them to establish a positive class atmosphere. 2025-04-09Joint-school English oral practice by the Student UnionTo enhance students' English oral examination skills and help them perform better in the Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE), this year our Student Union collaborated with the Student Union of the True Light School of Hong Kong to organize the "Form 5 Joint-School English Oral Practice Session". 2025-04-07Drone Programming workshopThe Gifted Education Unit organized a school-based junior high school gifted training program, the "Drone Programming" workshop, which is hosted by 10Botics, allowed students gifted in computer science and programming to participate. 2025-04-01English Speaking Day 2025One of the gym's expensive treadmills had gone missing. Student detectives were called to the scene to help solve the mystery. During recess and lunchtime, they rolled out to the badminton court to interview all the suspects and witnesses - played by the teachers and senior-form students. 2025-03-31King of Spinning Tops WorkshopThe Gifted Education Unit organized a school-based junior high school gifted training program, the "King of Spinning Tops" workshop, which is hosted by the Creative Education Unit of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, allowed students gifted in science and mathematics to participate. 2025-03-28ESD Learning Programme prize presentationOur school participated in the 13th ESD Learning Programme jointly organized by the Hong Kong UNESCO Association, the Hong Kong Institute of Education for Sustainable Development, and The Education University of Hong Kong. We submitted a revitalization plan for 60 Hollywood Road and designed a mobile game related to the May Fourth Movement, earning the "Best Innovation Award" from the organizers. 2025-03-21The Farewell to Form 6 StudentsForm 6 students looked back on their precious moments of secondary school life in the Farewell Assembly hosted by our School Principal, Ms Josephine To. She encouraged students to always trust in God's assistance and reminded them not to forget the companionship of their priests, teachers, and classmates, welcoming them to return to school at any time. 2025-03-18"Intercultural Dialogue" Video Clip Competition for Non-Chinese Speaking Secondary StudentsStudents BRAVE CHRISTOPHER SAREN and VALENTINO CIFLIKU from Class 3A of our school recently participated in the "Cultural Dialogue" Short Film Competition for Non-Chinese Speaking Secondary Students, organized by the Language Learning Support Section of the Education Bureau. Among more than 40 participating schools, they stood out and won the Silver Award. As recognition of their achievement, they were presented with a trophy, certificates, and book vouchers. 2025-03-17Simulated Society Experience Game for Form 5All Form 5 students participated in a growth lesson organized by the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children, featuring a "Simulated Society Experience Game". 2025-03-14Geography study trip to Central and Sheung WanTo help students understand the urban revitalization of Central and Sheung Wan as well as the development of modern Chinese history, our school's Geography and Chinese History departments organized a field trip on 14th March to the Central and Sheung Wan area.
