Hong Kong, a modern metropolis, is home to countless historic buildings hidden among its streets: silent witnesses to the passage of time. These "old walls" are not merely cold concrete or outdated traditions; they embody the city's social and economic development.
he government and various organizations have long been committed to conserving and revitalizing heritage buildings, while preserving traditional culture, strengthening collective memory, and fostering a sense of identity.
This exhibition adopts an interdisciplinary approach, integrating perspectives from Chinese Language and Humanities subjects to explore how heritage sites and traditional culture can be revitalized and remain connected to the wider community. Students will be guided through three distinct spaces, each showcasing different approaches to the preservation and revitalization of historic buildings and cultural heritage.
