To deepen upper secondary students' understanding of the latest developments across various industries in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), the Careers and Life Planning Team organized a career exploration trip to Macau for 13 Secondary 4 and Secondary 5 students on 22 June. Through firsthand observation and experiential learning, the study tour achieved fruitful learning outcomes in broadening students' horizons.
The morning itinerary commenced with a visit to the Macao University of Tourism, where students explored how higher education institutions align academic research and talent cultivation with the broader development of the GBA and the nation. In the afternoon, the delegation visited Luso International Banking Ltd. The session showcased the strategic deployment, emerging opportunities, and human resources planning of Macau's financial sector within the region, which significantly enhanced the students' corporate literacy and industry awareness.
The journey culminated in a cultural and industrial tour of the Historic Centre of Macao, featuring iconic landmarks such as the Ruins of St. Paul's, Senado Square, and the Municipal Affairs Bureau Building. This excursion allowed students to examine the current state of Macau's tourism sector and its strategic evolution into a "World Centre of Tourism and Leisure." Overall, the trip successfully fostered a forward-looking perspective, empowering students to integrate regional opportunities into their future academic and career planning.
