The History Society - Visiting Hong Kong Heritage Museum “Ceremony and Celebration – The Grand Weddings of the Qing Emperors” Exhibition

The History Society visited the Hong Kong Heritage Museum for the precious exhibits selected from the rare and unique collections of The Palace Museum. These will serve to explain the processes of imperial weddings and deepen students' understanding of the rituals of the grand weddings of the emperors. Artefacts highlighting local marriage traditions from local museum collections allowing students to explore the similarities and differences between the grand weddings of the Qing emperors and wedding traditions. During the visit, students’ interests in the culture were greatly enhanced by utilizing the tablets provided by the school and the museum’s app.
